Ateliers Ayla
Our story

Two friends.
One promise.

Ateliers Ayla is the name of our project, but it's also the fusion of our two first names — Ayoub and Liam.

"We grew up together. Today, we design kitchens together. We sign together what we commit to deliver."

Ayoub & Liam · Co-founders

How it started

We've known each other since we were eight. We grew up in the same neighbourhood, followed each other through school, our first jobs, our first struggles. What we didn't imagine while playing together is that we'd build a business one day.

For years, we listened to friends and family tell us about their kitchen renovations. Always the same story: the quote that exploded, the timeline that slipped, the material "no longer quite available" at the last minute. And in the end, people exhausted, disappointed, even ashamed of their own kitchen.

What pushed us

At its core, the problem wasn't material quality or craftsmanship. The real problem was the word given that wasn't being kept.

We told ourselves we could do things differently. That we could commit to three simple things — the kitchen promised, the price promised, the date promised — and actually keep them, project after project. Not as a sales pitch, but as an uncompromising work framework we impose on ourselves.

Why "Ateliers"

Not "kitchens," not "designer," not "showroom." Ateliers, because that's where things are built by hand, made to measure, with care. That's the image we wanted for the project — the opposite of an impersonal big-box store.

How we work

Liam is in Montreal. He's the one who meets you at home, takes measurements, understands your daily life, draws the first version of the plans. Ayoub handles design, strategy, and project oversight — he's the one who makes sure everything stays on track.

We don't manufacture in a workshop at the back of an industrial park. We work with manufacturers we've selected one by one, longtime partners, for their quality and delivery reliability. And the installation is done by RBQ-licensed installers we collaborate with in trust.

The advantage: we don't have to charge you the margin of a large in-house factory. And most importantly, we keep control over the relationship — which, in our eyes, is what makes all the difference between a successful renovation and a nightmare.

What we promise you

  • To listen to you before proposing anything.
  • To be straight about what's feasible, at what price, in what timeframe.
  • To honour what we wrote in the contract. Word for word.
  • To be reachable — you talk to us, not a switchboard.

That's Ateliers Ayla. Nothing more complicated than that.
